Once you have decided on which course, applying for it is quite straightforward. You will be required to fill in the necessary forms. Depending on which institute, you may be required to sit for an entrance examination. The entrance exam will assess you basic analytical capabilities such as basic algebra, essay writing skills. You may be required to write a report after given a case study to read. And of course, they may also be a language skills test, just to ensure that you have the appropriate capacity to express your thoughts. 

Malaysian institutes tend to accept most applicants. The story is quite different in the U.S. where there are most applicants than there are seats. Most well know universities acceptance rate is around 10-15%.

One more thing, you employer may be required to attest your position and work performance. Your boss may be required to fill in a form and mail it directly back to the institute.
